Privacy Notice

1. Who we are

This Privacy Notice is issued by Functional Defect Diagnostics Ltd. ("FDD", "we", "our", "us"), a company registered in Israel. We act as the data controller of personal data processed in connection with the services available at fddiagnostics.com (the "Service"). You can reach us at info@fddiagnostics.com.

2. Personal data we collect

• Account data — name, email address, password hash, organization.
• Order & diagnostic data — uploaded measurement files, object descriptions, calculation parameters, results and reports you generate.
• Support data — messages you send to us and any attachments.
• Usage & technical data — IP address, device identifiers, browser type, log timestamps, in-app telemetry.
• Cookies — essential cookies required for authentication and session management; optional analytics cookies where you consent.

Payment card and billing data are collected directly by our payment provider (Paddle) and are not stored on our servers. See Section 5.

3. Purposes and legal basis

• Provide the Service (performance of contract) — account creation, running diagnostic calculations, delivering reports.
• Security & fraud prevention (legitimate interests) — abuse detection, access logs, integrity of the platform.
• Product improvement (legitimate interests) — aggregated analytics, quality of results.
• Customer support (performance of contract) — responding to your requests.
• Legal compliance (legal obligation) — tax, accounting, responding to lawful requests.
• Marketing (consent) — only where you have opted in; you can withdraw at any time.

4. Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. If we enable analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask for your consent and provide a way to manage your choices.

5. Sharing your data

We share personal data only with the following categories of recipients:

• Service providers / subprocessors — cloud hosting, database, email delivery, error monitoring, and customer support tooling, acting on our instructions.
• Merchant of Record (Paddle) — Paddle.com Market Limited acts as the reseller and Merchant of Record for all purchases. Paddle processes payment, billing, tax compliance, invoicing and refund handling, and is an independent data controller for that activity. See the Paddle Privacy Notice.
• Professional advisers — legal, accounting and tax advisers under confidentiality.
• Authorities — where required by applicable law or to protect our rights.

6. International transfers

Our service providers may process personal data outside your country, including in the EEA, UK, and United States. Where required, we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses, together with appropriate technical safeguards.

7. Retention

We keep account and order data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations (typically up to 7 years). Diagnostic uploads and generated reports are kept while the related order is active and deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw any consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, email info@fddiagnostics.com. We aim to respond within one month.

9. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, audit logging and least-privilege principles, to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or alteration.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email where appropriate.
